AI Usage Policy

Last updated: June 2026

In compliance with the latest standards of the National E-Learning Center (NELC), the Future Health Training Center (FHTC) has formulated this clear and published policy governing the use of artificial intelligence tools within its educational environment.

1. How FHTC Uses AI

FHTC uses artificial intelligence tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of its training programs. AI is applied in areas including: personalized learning recommendations based on trainee progress and performance; automated attendance tracking and progress monitoring; intelligent search and content discovery within the platform; automated assessment feedback and quiz generation assistance; and platform analytics to improve program quality and trainee outcomes. All AI-assisted processes remain under human oversight by qualified staff.

2. Permitted Uses for Trainees

Trainees are permitted to use AI tools to support their learning, including: using AI-powered search or summarization tools to better understand course material; using general-purpose AI assistants for research, note-taking, or study planning; and using AI tools for accessibility purposes such as text-to-speech or translation. All use must be in good faith and must not compromise the integrity of assessments or misrepresent the trainee's own work.

3. Prohibited Uses for Trainees

Trainees are prohibited from: submitting AI-generated content as their own original work in assignments, projects, or written assessments without explicit written permission from the instructor; using AI tools to answer exam questions or bypass any assessment mechanism; using AI to impersonate another person or generate fraudulent credentials; and using AI in any way that violates the Academic Integrity & Anti-Cheating Policy.

4. Permitted Uses for Trainers

Trainers may use AI tools to: develop, structure, and refine course content and learning objectives; generate draft quiz questions or assessment rubrics for review and finalization; produce accessibility-friendly materials such as transcripts or subtitles; and analyze trainee performance data to improve instructional quality. All AI-generated instructional content must be reviewed, verified, and approved by the trainer before publication.

5. Prohibited Uses for Trainers

Trainers are prohibited from: publishing unverified AI-generated content as authoritative training material; using AI to automatically grade open-ended assessments without human review; using AI tools that process trainee personal data outside of FHTC-approved and NELC-compliant systems; and misrepresenting AI-generated content as their own original professional work.

6. Digital Responsibilities and Governance

FHTC has designated a Digital Governance Officer responsible for overseeing the ethical and compliant use of AI technologies across the platform. This role includes: reviewing and updating this policy in line with NELC and NCA standards; monitoring AI tool usage for compliance with this policy; investigating reported violations; and ensuring that all AI systems used by the platform uphold principles of digital fairness, transparency, and integrity. Trainees and staff may report concerns about AI misuse through the support ticket system.
